A modern home of light and substance in an ultra-convenient setting, Cuore Rosso (meaning ‘Red Heart’ in Italian) offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms and is the latest Straddie property to join our “Live Like a Local” campaign. If you are wanting that authentic island holiday experience, Cuore Rosso will be available throughout Christmas and Easter Queensland school holiday periods. This lovingly renovated house is a beautiful reflection of creative owners Jess and Adrian Scott. Jess, a well-known textile artist runs her studio and retail outlet from the property, however, the house is separate and quite private from the retail space.

Jess and Adrian have transformed, what was, an original little beach shack into a beautiful island home, complete with spacious covered outdoor dining space, firepit and an inviting plunge pool for those hot summer days. The original red front door is a considered nod to the beach shack that once occupied the block. The open-plan living area outlines the original footprint of the shack, now converted into a bright and breezy space with comfortable lounge and dining zones and a modern kitchen, complete with walk in pantry, gas cooktop, extra bar fridge and coffee machine. The seamless flow from front to back, makes for the ultimate entertaining space with the front patio offering a 3 burner Zeigler Brown BBQ, firepit and outdoor dining for 10 people. At the other end of the house, large sliding doors open up to the back deck providing another seating area and access to the 2.7m x 3m plunge pool, allowing guests to keep cool between visits to a number of near-by beaches. The front and rear outdoor settings are quite private, with established trees and wooden screening.
This split-level home has been thoughtfully designed with all bedrooms and utility rooms positioned to one side of the house, over two levels. The lower level offers two generous size queen bedrooms and the main bathroom with shower and separate bath. The laundry, is also on this level, offering a front loader washing machine and dryer.
The upper level houses the main bedroom with king size bed, walk through wardrobe and ensuite, while the fourth bedroom offers another queen bed, positioned right beside the third bathroom.
Set in the hub of Point Lookout, Cuore Rosso is a short walk to some of Straddie’s best beaches, cafes, restaurants, retail and grocery stores.
All house linen for bed and bath are provided, inclusive of beach towels.
